During each of the 5 sessions you will be using some AI tools so there is a "hands-on" element to this course.

  • Workshop 1: Master ChatGPT and Gemini for marketing - 2nd October 2025

How to use ChatGPT and Gemini — and why they can transform your marketing
The difference between free and paid versions
Prompt writing: how to get smarter, more useful replies
Privacy, copyright and business-safe AI use
How to add custom instructions to tailor answers to your business
Advanced features: deep research Projects / Gems, image analysis, document summaries, etc.

In class exercise:

• Create your custom instructions for Chat GPT and Gemini
• Brainstorm ideas for social media posts
• Switch on data privacy

  • Workshop 2: AI for Strategy, Social Media and Website Content - 9th October 2025

How to use AI to do deep research on your industry, competitors, and trends
How to get AI to generate multi-step, realistic business and marketing plans
Creating long-term content strategies with Projects and Gems
Using AI to brainstorm ideas and write social media content
Using AI to review and improve your website copy
What Google likes (and dislikes) about AI-generated content

In class exercise:

• Identify the 3 main things people want from your product or service
• Create a deep research report for the product or service that you offer to identify new business opportunities and where your market is heading over the next 2 years.
• Create a Project / Gem for social media marketing your product / service

How to find the best keywords using AI and Google tools
How to use AI to plan your website structure (pages you should have)
Writing SEO-friendly meta titles, meta descriptions, headlines and text using AI
What Google penalises in AI-written content and how to avoid it
Using AI tools to brainstorm blog posts and FAQs that help your rank

In class exercise:

• Use ChatGPT or Gemini to:
o Identify the main search terms you want to be found for
o The main pages that should be on your site
o Write one optimised meta title and description

  • Workshop 4: SEO & AI Part 2 – Getting Found in the new AI Search Engines - 23rd October 2025

The rise of AI search engines: Perplexity, Search GPT and Google’s AI answers / AI mode
How they’re different from traditional Google Search
How people search differently using AI tools
How to test which products and services AI are recommending in your industry
How to be recommended by AI engines (even if you don’t rank high in Google)
How to tailor your content and website so AI tools reference you as a source

In class exercise:

• Ask Perplexity or Search GPT a question your customer might ask (e.g., “Best yoga classes in Cork”) and evaluate whether your business appears or not.

• Then figure out what criteria the AI is using when recommending.

  • Workshop 5: Using AI to Create Images, Graphics and Videos for Marketing - 30th October 2025

How to use Canva’s AI hub (Image and video creation / design / coding)
Alternatives to Canva: Flux Kontext
How to turn text into AI videos (e.g., using Sora
Image upscaling, background removal and product photo cleanups
Review of what we have covered on the programme. Group discussion and questions.

In class exercise:

• Use Canva AI hub to create an AI-generated image for your business
• Use Flux Kontext to manipulate an image
• Create a list of the ways you will be using AI. Rank them in order of which you think are the most important / beneficial.

Who is this suitable for?

  • Business owners who want to understand the very latest AI tools and tactics to grow their business using digital marketing
  • Those who might already understand Chat GPT or Gemini but want to learn more advanced ways to use these tools.
  • Those who are tech savvy and very comfortable using a laptop / PC to do exercises on Chat GPT / Gemini/ Perplexity / Canva during a live Zoom.

Who is this not suitable for?

  • Those who are totally new to digital marketing. For example, if you don’t have social media accounts
  • Those who are not very comfortable using a PC / laptop and would struggle going into chat GPT / Gemini / Canva and doing some exercises during a live Zoom.

What will you need to have prior to attending the course:
You will need to have a Chat GPT account (free is fine) and be logged in.
You will need to be signed into Google with a Gmail to use Gemini
You will need to setup a free account at perplexity.ai and be logged in.
You will need to have a free (or paid) Canva account and be logged in.
Please be aware that you will need to access Zoom on a PC or Laptop (not a phone) and you will need to be very comfortable using a PC to do the “hands on” exercises during each session.

This course is not suitable for people who are not very comfortable using a laptop / PC.
