About the Student Enterprise Programme
Since the Student Enterprise Programme began in 2002, over 300,000 students have taken part, learning key skills on how to create a business idea, start and grow a business. The Student Enterprise Programme also has a comprehensive range of online resources at www.studententerprise.ie, which will feature regular blogs and houses a full range of Student Enterprise resources for students and teachers.
Further information around the Student Enterprise Programme is available from www.studententerprise.ie and by searching #studententerprise on social media.
We believe in the importance of educating students at an early age to gain practical experience of how business works. Through this programme the students experience, at first hand, the reality of a commercial environment and develop the skills and knowledge of running a business. The competition starts at county level with representatives from each category – Junior, Intermediate and Senior – going forward to represent Offaly in the National Final.
In order to assist both students and teachers through the programme, the Local Enterprise Office offers every school four workshops in house with a highly experienced and motivated trainer.
