SIXTEEN EVENTS BOOKED OUT DURING TIPPERARY’S LOCAL ENTERPRISE WEEK 2025

A huge thank you to the more than 180 small businesses and budding entrepreneurs that attended some of the 16 events during Local Enterprise Week last week.   The initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, took place from the 3rd - 7th March across the country.

The week included Business Advice Clinics in Thurles, Clonmel, Nenagh, Templemore, Tipperary Town and Carrick-on-Suir, a Tourism Activator Clinic and several workshops on topics such as Self Employment, Digital Trends, Marketing & Intellectual Property were fully attended.

The week also featured a virtual workshop with Micheal O’Neill of Kelso Digital who shared his Small Business Digital Optimisation Blueprint - a guide on how to compile a digital optimisation roadmap for business.  Participants also had the opportunity to hear from sustainability consultant Ailis Crowley, leanbpi, who shared how to effectively communicate your eco-friendly initiatives to customers, employees and the broader community!

We had an excellent turn out for our marketing morning with Entrepreneur & Podcaster, Gary Fox, host of the award winning Podcast, The Entrepreneurs Experiment.  In a workshop at Cashel Palace, Gary delivered insights into Ireland’s best founders and how you can steal their secrets to success! 

Spellings for Me Ltd was announced as Tipperary's representative at National Enterprise Awards Final which will take place at the Mansion House on the 22nd May.  Promoters, Emma Doherty & Paddy Grace, both Primary School Teachers created the Spellings for Me platform to ensure that every child is catered for at their exact ability level when it comes to spelling!  Best of luck to Emma & Paddy in the All Ireland Final!

Friday hosted the annual County Final of the Tipperary Student Enterprise Programme which took place at TUS Campus Thurles.  The winners included Junior Category, CBS Thurles, NP Medal & Key Holders C/o Paul Brett & Noah Hackett.  The winners in the  Intermediate Category hail from CBS Thurles, Everything Dogs, C/o Patrick Carr & Cathal O' Gorman and Senior Category, Rockwell College, Study Tok C/o Sean Cahill & Paddy Corcoran. 

Best of luck to all as they represent Tipperary at the upcoming All Ireland Final.
