Overview
In ‘The Story of Timbertrove’, written by Shirley O’Kelly, company director, she shares her experience of what it takes to set up and run your own business with very little money, just a dream and a passion to succeed!
From a family of 13, she left school at the age of 15 to start her first job in the motor industry working her way up to General Manager.
With her husband, Henry, they grew their business, Timbertrove, from strength to strength, and have experienced all the challenges of running a small business – the day-in, day-out grind, the obstacles and the hassles. Her determination and resilience ensured the business fought through the insurance crisis and global recession. Through risk taking and the ability to change she opened her Country Store and Café which has helped to rebuild the business.
She has walked the talk!
Her ability to adapt to the evolving business landscape will resonate with you. Join us for an hour of exploration, learning, and inspiration.
‘The Story of Timbertrove’ is published by Oak Tree Press, €18.95, available from all good bookshops.
