Start Your Own Business Course Aims & Learning Outcomes

The Start Your Own Business course has been developed for those who are thinking of starting a small business or those who have a business that is running less than 2 years. The course has been designed to build your practical business skills in the following areas:

• Idea Generation
• Market Research
• Business Planning
• Sales and Marketing
• Finance
• Legal considerations
• Tech tips for start ups

The course aims to build your professional confidence, to network with peers and to signpost you to sources of further support. Session delivery will include a combination of presentations, break out activities and exercises, individual & group exercises, discussion & written exercises, and case studies.

Duration of Training

It is delivered over 5 weeks as engaging and interactive workshops both online and in-person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:30 – 21:30. This particular course takes place on the following dates:
