Public Call for Expressions of Interest
Evaluation and Approvals Committee – Local Enterprise Office Louth Louth County Council is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve on the Evaluation and Approvals Committee of the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Louth.
About the Evaluation and Approvals Committee – Local Enterprise Office Louth Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) were established by the Government in each Local Authority to act as the first point of contact for entrepreneurs and micro/small businesses seeking support to start or grow their business. LEO Louth operates under a Service Level Agreement with Enterprise Ireland and plays a vital role in supporting local enterprise and job creation.
The Evaluation and Approvals Committee is responsible for assessing projects seeking financial support. The Committee is chaired by a designate of the Chief Executive of Louth County Council and includes:
- A representative from Enterprise Ireland
- Five individuals with relevant expertise in business and enterprise development
A reserve panel will also be formed to fill future vacancies as they arise.
Please note: These are unpaid positions. Louth County Council is committed to ensuring broad equality and gender balance in forming the Committee. Appointments may include individuals beyond those who express interest, based on relevant knowledge and expertise.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Experience in reviewing financial proposals and evaluating business plans
- A broad business background and understanding of the challenges faced by micro and small enterprises
- A strong knowledge of the micro/small enterprise sector
Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
- Entrepreneurship
- Debt/banking or cash-flow management
- Equity/investment
- Financial or business qualifications
- Business development
- Marketing, sales, or sector-specific knowledge
- Technology

Appointments will be made for a maximum term of five years, in line with the Service Level Agreement between Louth County Council and Enterprise Ireland. All expressions of interest will lapse after three calendar years.
